We Are on the Show Floor in Cairo Right Now

FENGCHI is exhibiting at Print2Pack Egypt 2026, the 18th edition of the Middle East and Africa’s leading printing and packaging exhibition. The show opened on 15 September at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in New Cairo and runs through 17 September.

You will find us in Hall 2, Stand A2 — and we not only brought brochures, but also a machine that runs.

What Is Running: The GW-1450L, at Full Production Speed

The machine on the stand is the GW-1450L — a 1,450 mm-wide model from FENGCHI’s GW Series flute laminators, the series rated up to 16,000 sheets per hour and installed in more than 60 countries.

Most exhibitors demonstrate at a comfortable, de-rated speed. We ran ours flat out, all day, with real board and real paper. Over the course of the first day the counter on the machine climbed through 10,226 → 12,174 → 13,260 PPH, and peaked at 14,775 sheets per hour on the show floor.

That number matters for a simple reason: what you see with your own eyes is what counts. A spec sheet can claim anything. A 24-second video, or five minutes standing in front of the machine, cannot be argued with.

The Two Things Buyers Kept Asking About

“Will it slow down on thin paper?”

No. The GW-1450L ran low-GSM face paper at the same speed as heavy board — no slowdown, no manual intervention. Thin paper is where most laminators lose their speed, because the feeder cannot separate and forward the sheets consistently. On the GW Series, servo-driven suction feeding with 35% load reserve keeps the cycle rate constant regardless of paper weight.

“How often does it jam?”

The answer on day one was: it did not. Continuous running with no jam stops is the difference between a machine that looks good in a demo and a machine that holds a shift together. Registration accuracy is held at ±1.0 mm, and job changeover takes 2 to 5 minutes — which is what actually determines how many jobs you can run in a week.

Why Egypt and the MENA Region

Egypt is one of the fastest-moving corrugated and folding-carton markets in the region, driven by food and beverage, e-commerce shipping, and export-oriented packaging production. Two things consistently decide whether a laminator pays for itself in these plants:

  • Throughput per shift. Output in the 14,000–16,000 sheets/hour band lets a converter take on work that a slower line has to turn down.
  • Support that is actually local. FENGCHI backs its machines through 11 global service and support centres and around 50 sales agents, with spare parts dispatched directly.

Print2Pack runs alongside Paper Middle East (PME), which brings the paper, board and tissue supply side into the same halls.

Come and See It Before the Show Closes

The machine is running for one more day. If you are producing corrugated boxes, food trays or shipping cartons, bring your own board and paper — our engineers will run your material on the stand and show you the actual output.
